Definition:
Derivative work is based on modified preexisting works to which the copyright owner has the exclusive rights to. The piece of work resulting from derivative work, considered as a whole may be separately copyrightable.

Service Mark

Definition:
A word, slogan, design, picture, or any other symbol used to identify and distinguish services as opposed to a product.

Compilation

Definition:
This is a work formed by the collection and assembling of preexisting materials or of data that are selected, coordinated, or arranged in such a way that the resulting work as a whole constitutes an original work of authorship. The term "compilation" includes collective works.
